To comply with e-safety policy the following rules are in place for this website
[1] Contact details and site ownership are hidden, use show my homework or speak to me :-)
[2] No student, staff or institution names or photos are on the site
[3] All film trailers are rated 12 or lower. There are no trailers to any 18 rated movies even if the movie trailer is rated 12. in choosing online videos
BBFC ratings are used in conjunction with any guidance by the platform eg youtube's with the BBFC ratings taking precedence.
[4] I have avoided any trailers to movies that contain explicit sexual content even if rated it is rated 15 and the trailer is rated 12. I'm more interested in their science and relationship content than in fake emotion.

As some students have asked here's why
I may change that but would run this by my e-safety team first.
Why?
Because it can lead to an over cautious situation where for example the Edexcel Additional y11 teaching software features the film poster for the 'Alien' franchise which is rated by the BBFC as 15, which could avoid even discussing a major cultural movie or showing a 12/15 rated trailer of it. For the foreseeable future I would leave it off the site as it has younger age groups visiting.
Were I to create and put it on password protected pages to filter access by age then the E-safety team would need the password as well as the students and frankly that seems like poor cost vs benefits to go to the trouble of building password protected pages, keeping them secure and what students would get out of it.
